Concerning Huy pronounciation and your English way... Hum! Hum! Its a german name and I think Scott is asking "how do you pronounce it" .. In German!
But 1/ Is it a true german name? (With final "Y" which, for me sounds a Hungrian one)
And 2/ If it is, then it's a local name with local pronounciation.
then, it's better to think for:
(H being an aspirated consonant)
1/Hui (with Hungrian "y")
2/ Huü (for Y is an Upsilon)
or 3/ Huu long Hu.
I'm going to check further since I think it's a very good question! (Just think about a french asking for Ohio, for example!!!
