As for the Fw 58 Weihe, it is a very difficult case indeed. The metallic skeleton is in rather good condition, but the fabric, still extraordinarily extent and in an amazing conservation state, would be ruined at once if you lift the plane from its 108 meters deep location below the wawes of the Lac du Bourget.
As an archaeologist, I would personnally advise against any attempt of lifting the plane without having prepared a full preservation program, which as you can imagine is more then cost intensive... And I'm making a true sacrifice as I'm living only 30 miles away from the wreck, here in Geneva...
