Thanks for the additional information. I know this topic has been addressed before, but I am moved to comment that I find notable that all the notable pilots I know to have been killed under their parachutes were German or otherwise Axis and none were Allied, even in the Pacific theatre against the Japanese, who were purportedly known to shoot parachuting pilots.
