Crash location - B-24H 41-28747 466BG 12.8.44

Hi all:

Can anyone help with a crash location for the above Liberator ?

It was reported MIA on 12 August 1944 during the mission to Mourmelon-sur-Marne, and an MACR was issued, but no details on the location. The crew of 10 (pilot 2nd Lt Philip J Hammond) were all recovered dead and buried at Madingley. Cambs,. Only the Engineer, T/Sgt J T Bass could be positively identified, the others were buried in a Group Grave, S-6-5. Bass is still there, but the remaining crewmen were taken home for burial in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St Louis, Missouri, post-war.

Presumably the aircraft crashed somewhere in or near the UK. Does anyone know WHERE ?

TIA for any input.
