Love these stories.
My dad is still to this day despite many many arguments, convinced that in 1940 Italian double winged bombers flew over Gloucester with the local AA guns banging away at them. He said they headed north for Birmingham then an hour or so later came back and were again shot at by Gloucester's AA.
He will go to his grave thinking this is true despite me even proving they could not have made it that far.
Why let the truth get in the way of a great story eh!
