I have the Lw losses of October 9, 1939, currently listed as follows:

I./KG26 Heinkel He111H. Abandoned prior to landing at Lübeck-Blankensee airfield, cause not stated. Crew baled out unhurt. Aircraft 100% write-off.

4./KG26 Heinkel He111H. Belly-landed in dunes on the island of Fanĝ in Denmark out of fuel following unsuccessful sortie to locate and attack elements of the British Fleet 5.05 p.m. FF Oberfw Hans Immel, BO Lt Werner Wanderer, BF Gefr Kurt Büchner, and BM Uffz Anton Brunner all interned. Aircraft 1H+LM 100% write-off.
Anton Brunner was slightly injured in the foot and admitted to St Joseph Hospital for treatment. The entire crew was later held at Hald, near Viborg, where they remained until Denmark was occupied by German armed forces on April 9, 1940.

4./KG26 Heinkel He111H. Belly-landed near Nymindegab in Denmark out of fuel following unsuccessful sortie to locate and attack elements of the British Fleet 4.45 p.m. FF Fw Fritz Baldauf, BM Uffz Erich Scheinert, BO Uffz Hermann Gutacker, and BF Oberfw Adolph Friedrich Düring all interned. Aircraft 1H+NM fired by crew - 100% write-off.
This crew was later held at Hald, near Viborg, where they remained until Denmark was occupied by German armed forces on April 9, 1940.

6./KG27 Heinkel He111H. Forced-landed near Dresden due to engine trouble. Crew unhurt. Aircraft 1G+HP damage state not recorded.

3./KG30 Junkers Ju88A-1. Crashed 100 km south-east of Scapa Flow following unsuccessful sortie to locate and attack elements of the British Fleet 4.45 p.m. FF Oberlt Konrad Kahl, BO Fw Werner Tillmann, BF Uffz Rudolf Kalitzke, and BS Uffz Hans Selck all killed. Aircraft 100% write-off.

I./KG51 Heinkel He111H. Involved in landing accident at Bad Wörrishofen airfield, cause not stated. Crew unhurt. Aircraft 30% damaged but repairable.

2./KüFlGr.406 Dornier Do18D-3 (0816). Ditched 11 miles south of Farsund, Norway. FF Oberlt Kurt Wachsmuth, BO Oberlt zur See Franz Töpper, BF Oberfunkmaat Rudolf Wildgrube, and BM Uffz Friedrich Schmidt all interned. Aircraft S4+FK 100% write-off.

2./KüFlGr.406 Dornier Do18D-3 (0827). Ditched 60 km north-west of Sylt. Crew all rescued unhurt. Aircraft S4+JK 100% write-off.

1./KüFlGr.506 Dornier Do18. Ditched in the Baltic due to loss of engine coolant and towed back to Pillau by Poseidon . Crew unhurt. Aircraft repairable.

3./KüFlGr.706 Heinkel He59 (1996 or 1998). Crashed attempting forced-landing in heavy seas 40 miles north-west of Sylt. FF Oberlt Georg Merkel, BO Oberlt Joachim Sander, BF Fw Werner Mingenbach, and BM Uffz Willi Pester all killed. Aircraft P5+HL 100% write-off.

3./KüFlGr.706 Heinkel He59. Damaged forced-landing in the Baltic, cause not stated. Crew all unhurt. Aircraft P5+UL 20% damaged but repairable.

3./KüFlGr.706 Heinkel He59 (1993). Ditched 10 km north-west of Sylt due to petrol shortage. Crew unhurt. Aircraft 20% damaged but repairable.

5.(K)/LG1 Heinkel He111H. Crashed in bad weather at Warlow, 6 km north-west of Ludwigslust, on return from unsuccessful sortie against the British Fleet. FF Lt Waldemar Lutz, BO Uffz Fritz Bethke, BF Uffz Herbert Gartzke, and BS Obergefr Wilhelm Beckmann all killed. Aircraft 100% write-off.
