Re: Guerilla/Partisan supply flights over Austria/Hungaria 1944
Gentlemen, thanks for your posts.
'The men who went to Warsaw' by L.Isemonger probably has not much to do with my request but is one of the book I'm looking for such a long time. I had a couple of sources told but never really was ably to buy one. If someone has an issue to sell, please let me know.
I've heard about the so called operation "MASHA" during late 1944 or begin 1945. A couple of sovjet agent were dropped over the eastern alps in the area south of St. Pölten (SW of Vienna). At least one female agent was among them and broke her ankle. She was hidden by local farmer in their house and survived the war. I don't really understand the mission of those agents in such lonely areas.
Since Freiburg is far away from me I want to ask if there is some online source of this BA? Eventually someone wrote a book about these missions?
@Schenck: Do you remember which one of the scale model magazines it was?
Thanks for your help. Regards
