"1943 Sunday 25 July. Enemy aircraft make sharp raids on the island. Heavy barrage of fire. Three enemy Ju 88s and a He 111 shot down."
"Friday 30 July. A raid sounded when a large formation of aircraft approached the island. Heavy barrage put up."
