I just obtained recent issue of Fliegerblatt with Kurt Braatz artical about Mr. Rall ... and tommorow I will drive nearby of Mr. Rallīs house, so I decided to drop few lines in this thread.
I met Mr. Rall about 4 times, once in Prague, two times in an event organized by Gemeinschaft d. F. and once I visited him at home (and in very painfull way I realized that my forehead is higher than his restroomīs door frame

)
I was always amazed how Mr. Rall was friendly, open, communicative and tolerant (he did not blame me for delay caused by traffic jam near Munich and picked us up in the parking plot down in valley, btw). I think he did a lot of positive work for communication between aviation and veteran communities in Europe and across Atlantic.
Last but not least, he was always amazing me how healthy and active he was despite of his age (almost 90) and his WWII wound. At his home he was walking faster than me! To be precise, he was almost running.
Exemplar for long healthy life and positive influence towards other people.
