Hi guys

My dear Canadian friend Gordon Dunn, a Hurricane pilot with 232 Squadron in Sumatra and Java in 1942, and subsequent POW, has passed away.

Those of you have have copies of/or have read 'Bloody Shambles' Volume II and 'Hurricanes over Singapore' (especially), will have appreciated his contribution to those books. He and his wife stayed with us in England on two occasions, and my wife and stayed with them at the home near Toronto on another occasion.

During his first visit I managed a surprise for him when I took him to visit an 'old friend of mine' in Hull. The 'old friend' was actually one of Gordie's old squadron friends, whom he thought had not survived as a POW. They had a lovely reunion. Both have now made their last flights.
