Thank you very much indeed for your respective input.
Jeremy, can I take it that you listed 2.(F)/Aufklärungsgruppe 123 as the unit he was serving with on receipt of his Ritterkreuz?
If this is the case then it would appear that as Larry alludes to, that his final flying assignment was indeed 2
.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 122, especially taking into consideration the dates being so close to the end of the war.
