I wrote a section about this in my book about the War in NE Scotland....


There was also a book publish years ago by Robert Hill, although putting together the facts from various sources it appears to have a lot of "fiction"

In the national archives is a file on the defection. Mainly aimed at the lack of control/security in keeping this secret, it details the letters / phonecalls intercepted rom the base/village on people seeing the aircraft. "Landing of enemy aircraft at R.A.F. Station , Dyce Scotland" Air 15/413 is the reference
