Seeking Profile subjects for Bf110s serving with LW Long Range (F) Recon Units during 1940

Hello,

As part of the project to definitively profile the Bf110 during 1939-40 for the EoE Project, we've recently completed research packages for, and some of the actual profiles for the Bf110s used as a long range recon aircraft (almost exclusively the C-5 subtype but possibly a couple of Bf110D-4s--originally D-0s) during 1940. Only 7.(F)/LG2 was completely equipped with the type, with the rest of these "Fern" units having mixed types assigned, such as the He111, the Do17 or the Ju88. And many of these units had only a few Bf110s assigned at any one time. Thus, after defining the units that were using the Bf110 during 1940, we're faced with the fact that for some units we're seeking photos of only a couple of, or at least very few a/c as potential profile subjects. With the time-line parameters that we're using, there could theoretically be as many as 50 Bf110s that could be profiled, if we could find images of ones serving with each unit during the required time frames.

After an extensive search through our research network and data base, we've been able to locate photos for only 13 profile packages, a few of which are now completed. Here are the ones we've found with sufficient documentation to profile: K9+AH, L2+CR, L2+ER, L2+AR, T1+ZL, T1+TL, 5F+CM, 5F+HM, 5F+MM, 4N+EH, 4N+FH, 5D+DL & 4U+ZK.

I know that we will never find photographic documentation for all of the potential profiles, but if anyone has photos for any other profile subjects to help with this project, I would appreciate your responding. I'm particularly seeking a/c with unit codes K9, T5, 6M, 7A, F6, and 4U, units for which we have little or very poor coverage. We also need to fill a few slots for unit codes listed previously. Please note that there are a number of photos of D-3s out there, some with these units, but this type did not begin coming off the assembly lines until early 1941, and thus are not part of our profile project.

So who can help?
