KC holder Günter Frenzel +
Günter Frenzel passed away 12.March 2011 (Wehrmacht Award Forum), just a few days before his 92nd Birthday.
Frenzel was the last living Transport-Flyer decorated with the Knights Cross, taken 23. Dec 1942 for action in Northern Africa, flying there the Junkers Ju 52. Only just over 40 Transportflieger were decorated with the Knights Cross.
