Like the Fiats of Austria's JaGeschw II before them, the Avia biplanes were quickly repainted in Luftwaffe markings. Courses were duly set up to familiarise German pilots and ground-crews with these machines. And it was the Avia Lehrgang at Herzogenaurach which was used to form a brand new 3./JG 70..."
