Not to cast a doubt on the ID, but I blew up the serial number on the overturned 229 Sq Hurricane and the last number looks suspiciously like a "9".
Picture enclosed. This could possibly be P2729, flown by P/O Bussey.
It's possible that he tried to land after the Bf109 attack and overturned on landing, rather than bailing out.
Another point, is that this forced landing looks survivable.
