I have "Angels Eight: Normandy Air War Diary" and I don't believe it's a reliable source. Save your money. Get it through ILL (Interlibrary Loan) if you want to examine it.

The 365th P-47s were NOT lost to enemy fighters. I went through the all the losses for P-47s on D-Day and only found one that maybe could have been shot down by enemy fighters. The MACR just listed it as missing-cause unknown.
