Hi Uwe,

At last I might be able to help you with the little information I have regarding this crash. Hopefully others can contribute more!

Time: 19.30 hours.
Unit: 5 Staffel./Kampfgeschwader 76
Type: Junkers Ju 88A-1

Code: F1 + DN
Location: New Barn Farm, South Fleet, Kent, England.

REASON FOR LOSS:
Aircraft hit by AA fire, dived into the ground and exploded. The explosion was probably caused by its own bombs and wreckage was spread over a wide area. Markings: Manufacturer not known but aileron has a plate showing Dornier Werke, works no.4159, acceptance date February 1940.
