I agree that the price is high, compared to some books. But it is not just any other picture book or one book of many. You are correct, this is a specialist book, the subject matter is something that armchair hobbyists can never understand. But, in this one volume a dedicated enthusiast can grasp an understanding of the principle technology that won the air war!
I do not know of a similar book.
I think that anyone with a strong interest in the aircraft of WW2 and their engines will find this book enlightening. It is a serious book, a rare book for people with a serious interest and I hope that no one with that serious interest will miss it!
