Thank you Janusz. I will get this book for further research. This particular Buna plant produced no synthetic rubber during the war, and was a joint Army-Luftwaffe-SS project. IG Farben was the largest chemical cartel in the world at the time. It produced synthetic fuel (Leuna-Benzin) and lubricants, and had built other synthetic rubber plants. By the end of the war, most Wehrmacht vehicles had synthetic rubber tires. But IG Farben is virtually unknown today.
