According to Colin Cummins in his Clipped Wings vol 1

"The pilot mishandled the controls by not lowering the flaps properly and setting the incorrect pitch on the propeller. During the latter stages of the approach to land, the aircraft stalled and crashed.
Flight Sergeant Raymond Henri Allignol 31 years old FFAF killed"

I don't know why he trained with the RAF College and not the unit you give.
Probably posted for some reason.

The Master DK985 only served with RAFC having been delivered to Cranwell 9 March 1942. At the time of its demise it had flown a total of 145:20 hours.
