ADMIRAL SCHEER was berthed in the Ausrüstungsbecken (fitting out basin) of the Deutsche Werke shipyard in Kiel when she was sunk.
Actually, some parts of the ship are still there today. The most valuable scrap was salvaged from the wreck after the war but the remains were used to fill the basin together with debris from the city. Where the berth of the cruiser was is now a parking lot in the Marine Arsenal (naval armory):
