This variant seems quite a bit unreal. It's a small aircraft. Both of these engines, but particularly the BMW, would have required larger propellers and thus reduced ground clearance, i.e. a new undercarriage/nacelle. They would probably have required structural strengthening and airframe aerodynamic rebalancing, and the BMW was in great demand elsewhere. Given this, it isn't surprising that any such suggestion, if real at all, was rapidly knocked on the head.

I can imagine the job being given to a project engineer to knock up a quick sketch, to highlight the problem areas and perhaps suggest ameliorations, but not in any great hope. One of the lesser jobs of a design office is persuading others in the company hierarchy that there are good reasons why their inspirational ideas actually wouldn't work in practice.
