Nick, the book by Nikita Egorov is already on Amazon.com for pre-order and yes it's in English.
No, Dr. Prien does not check claims in his books but he does provide correct claims for the types and locations placed by the pilots at the time (it helps to have a team backing you on your work). I've found several so far in JFV 12/I that were completely different then Tony Woods list and a lot that were not even listed.
