Yes, it was either a supply or maintenance unit, since it's listed as a "Versorgung"-type unit in Christian Zweng's "Die Dienststellen, Kommandobehörden und Truppenteile der Luftwaffe 1935-1945, Band 1".

Here's the complete entry for this unit in Zweng:
Kommandeur Luftwaffen-Berge-Bataillon VII
*Winter 1943/44
Maj. Schobinger, Viktor -- 13.09.1943
From the above, it appears that the unit was only in existence from late '43 to early '44, but the entry might just be incomplete.
