Hi Jef,

3. Jagddivision reported one aircraft missing and seven destroyed during Nachtschlacht missions against the Allied bridgehead across the Rhine at Wesel on the night of 26-27 March 1945.

The only definite Bf110 losses have information for are:

Bf110G-4 G9+KC - Stab II./NJG1 - Lt. Werner Barthel - crashed near Lintorf at 22.30 hrs, shot down by a Mosquito

prob. Bf110 - IV./NJG1 - Lt. Ludwig Kraut - initially reported missing (ULTRA in HW 5/687, CX/MSS/R.509/C/9):

"Report signed NABBE 1, Adjutant, to GENRO 3 ((IIB)) dated 27/3:- Missing Report No. 28 26-27/3. Lt. Ludwig KRAUT, pilot NIBON ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3; Uffz. Hans DODEN, a/c W/T operator NIBON ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3; ?? Eberhardt HEINRICH, air gunner ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3"


I have no information on a crash site, but air gunner Flgr. Heinrich Eberhardt (born 23/3/1925) is buried in Block CR, Reihe 10, Grab 241, at the Ysselsteyn Kriegsgräberstätte.
