I have tried, but got no joy on the MED Air War, volume 2 (
https://www.amazon.com.br/History-Me.../dp/190916612X) and of RL_2_III_1182 (BAMA) to find what happened to Oberleutnant Werner Blume (formerly member of 4(F)/122) who was killed due to being apparently wounded on the 26th June 1942 at Derna. Am not sure if he was flying a Ju 88 D, in Lybia. Apparently two of his crewmembers bailed out.
He is said to have been awarded with the RK posthumously on the 1st July, but he apparently died of wounds on the 3rd. So, how was that possible?
Are the codes and werknummer of his machine known? What was the cause of his dismise? Are the other crewmembers' names known?
