De Havilland and D.H.98 Mosquito FB.VI transferred from RAF (two 1,260hp Rolls-Royce Merlin 23 or 25)

811 Sqn Ford ('N':'FD4B') by 1,46 - 7.46.
771 Sqn dett Ford, crashed on Isle of Wight between Alum Bay and Needles Pt during sea fog, cat ZZ 23.7.46 (S/L CH Buxton & S/L K Strickland both killed). Wooden wreckage reportedly burnt on site and rest thrown over cliff (TFH 92.15).
