In july 1940 Westphal and Schlitt both belonged to 1/196! It is not uncommon to find that crew belonged to another staffel than the aircraft! I do have some losses were this is the case! Or that the crew or aircraft was recently transferred at the time of the loss! In this case Ar 196 from 5. Staffel and crew from 1. Staffel.
