Re: some questions of SCW

"2 He-51 were captured captured by the Republicans:
One near Navalmoral (2/3/1937) and the other near Gandesa (25/6/1937).
Only one was complete and was send to URSS, maybe also the remains
of the other."

The case of Navalmoral on 2.3.1937 is unknown to me and it is not mentioned in the He 51 loss list of Patrick Laureau in his book Condor.

However the later case seems to be there: according to Laureau on 24.6.1937 Spanish He 51 (pilot F. Cándido, unit 1-G-2) forcelanded at Gandesa and the plane was lost (=captured by Republicans and pilot likely POW?).

"other question was the date from this:

He 51 3.J/88 Oblt. Otto-Hans Winterer made a force-landing 24/02/37 POW in other source 25/02/37 by Flak (Navalmoral)"

On this I found from Condor of Patrick Laureau following info:

On Feb. 1937 Winterer flew He 51 with 2.J/88 ("staffel" was still in transition process to Bf 109 so they had also biplanes). Winterer was hit by flak on 25.2.1937 and had to land at Navalmoral in Republican territory and was made a POW.

Could the Winterer case actually be the mysterious case of 2.3.1937 - just an error of date when 25.2.1937 has for some reason been replaced by 2.3.1937 in some Republican document or history article?
