Thanks Nick, this is great. I have found Lipfert's claims extremely accurate too. Glad to see that others confirm this by researching other periods of his combat service. To me, -at least among the Axis fighter aces, flying over Hungary- definitely Lipfert was the most reliable, top ace.
Else. What I found interesting in the soviet documents is that the soviet pilots regularly confused the Bf 109 and Fw 190 models in the air. (vice versa) Especially is the cloudy, dark, fall, or winter months. It is clear that an SG.10 Fw 190F downed the C-47A on November 16, 1944 near Szeged, yet the soviets thought it was a Bf 109.
