Seaplanes will become famous soon enough
A possible K.G.200 candidate

With Reference to HW 5/491 there is a report from a Luftwaffe workshop at Celle about a Mustang received on 26. May 1944. The Serial number was given as 36805 and completion of work stated to be uncertain. The actual work required was brake repairs.

Some Google research gave the following information: North American P-51B
Mustang ser.no. 43-6805 and HO-C "Marjorie II" of 487 Fighter Squadron, 352 Fighter Group, was lost to groundfire and crashed at Grosz Helen, Kreis Celle on 24. May 1944. The pilot Lt. James D. Hannon was taken POW.

If the plane "survived" the accident with no more than brake problems, it could be a candidate aircraft for K.G.200. Can anyone provide further information.
