11 April 1945

Hi to all,
perhaps anyone of you can give me the right direction to come forward
with my research:

I'm looking for a german single engine fighter (possibly a Fw 190) which was shot down by AA-fire from an american unit of an armored troop

and then crashed on 11 April 1945 on a field.

The location is near Klein-Alsleben, Alikendorf, Hadmersleben, Egeln, in Germany.

This is some kilometers south-east of Oschersleben (Magdeburg region).

I'll try to find out the american unit which has shot the fighter down.

This event must have been mentioned in the american units "after action report" or in other records or in unit/division-historys.

On 11 April 1945 american armored troops marched to the river Elbe

and arrived the river at the small town Barby.
The Americans came from the Halberstadt direction and marched through
the villages Schwanebeck-Krottorf-Grossalsleben-Kleinalsleben-Alikendorf-
Hadmersleben and forward to the river Elbe.
Which units of which division had marched this way?

Every information or reference anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
