42-52552 was last seen at Miramas and two crew members were buried at Salon-de-Provence. According to a couple of French websites, the crash location was
in the District of Saint Georges, Cornillon-Confoux.
The plane was from the 460th BG, 760th BS and was lost 6 August, 1944. The plane appears to have been downed by flak according to the MACR, so perhaps not the correct plane if "Alfred" was a Luftwaffe pilot.
