I don't follow you. Are you saying you mean San Sebastian in Spain?
If yes, 300km north means an appx place west of La Rochelle on the French west-coast. That in turn means the crew must have overflown the complete Bretagne (in daytime) and continued until their fuel ran out and not even once trying to reach land.
Also using a reference point in Spain makes no sense. Chris says the rescued personal was back at 16.35H (or at least found by that time).
Pure logic says they must have come down somewhere in the Channel, pretty close to land as well, since they were found that quick.
Don't know from where you got this "300km north of San Sebastion", but it just don't feel right to me.
