WWI friendly fire

Hi guys

I'm completely out of my depth so I hope someone can assist, please.

I am aware there were a number (many?) aerial friendly fire incidents during WWI, but which was the first?

The first aircraft/observation balloon shot down by friendly aircraft? I have several contenders:

April 1917 - Ltn Brandt Jasta 19 shot down LVG

July 1918 - Ten Moresco 78^Squadriglia shot down 45 Sqn aircraft.

date? - Fleming 46 Sqn shot down Littler 1 Sqn
date? - Blaxland 2 AFC Sqn shot down Renault (Spad)
date? - 5 Camels 70 sqn shot down FK.8 of 82 Sqn

26 October 1914: BE2 shot down by own troops. First ground-to-air friendly incident?

Were any observation balloons shot down by own side? Even as far back as US Civil War etc? Or when first used?

Any help will be very much appreciated.
Cheers
Brian
