Thank you, Franck. Now, your assessment is partially correct - I was indeed looking for the pre-war photographic evidence of the early II./JG 77 emblem,... albeit sported on the Emils.

Now, I am well aware of the said emblem being sported on the Gruppe's Bf 109 B aircraft (after all I was successful bidder for both photos from your post 16). Then the Gruppe converted onto the Bf 109 E aircraft in April/May 1939, and I could not find evidence of the emblem being sported on the Emils before the outbreak of hostilities. We are talking some 4-to-5 month gap in this respect.

I was hoping that this photo would assist my research, but your reading (i.e., Neumünster) would appear correct, so I am back to square one here.
