Post Potez 230 - Prototype test in Germany

Hello Everyone,

The prototype of the Potez 230 felt into the german hand in May'40 when the wehrmacht occupied the SNCAN facilities at Villacoublay airfield.

At this time, the Potez 230 started the first flight test end of march'40. This fighter was the latest updated version of the fighter ANF Les Mureaux 190 developped by the SNCAN; the engine was an Hispano-Suize 12Xcrs then the HS12Y31 (identical to the VG33 engine) was planned to be fitted soon. The SNCAN expected to reach the 600kmh-1. The main characteristic of this prototype was the particular elliptic wing shaped around a central torsion box. The german seized all the data and sent the prototype in Germany to examine the particular mode of wing manufacturing.
I don't know whether this prototype was tested in the air or just to study the manufacturing process.

Can anyone provide any further information regarding this fighter in garmany?

Thanking you in anticipation
Best Regards

Jerome
