Hello Stig,

the recce version Ju 88 D-2 was based on the Ju 88 A-5, the version D-1 on the Ju 88 A-4. Unfortunately I have no production lists. In the Gen.Qu. loss lists the first explicit loss of a D-2 was on 18 May 1941 (WNr. 781, an a/c of the 1.(F)/120.
If the statement in post #7 is correct (the version Ju 88 D-1 entered production in December 1941, WNr. block 430) the loss of the D-2 WNr. 798 on 21 July 1941 does not correspond to 088.0430798.
