Re: Victims of the Remagen Bridge?

From the book by Möller mentioned by Brian Bines ; on pages 253 and 254 it states the following losses by NSGr. 1 on 8 March 1945 during the attacks on the Ludendorff bridge:

1./NSGr. 1: 3 losses
Lt Hölzel/ Uffz. Lüttgens Ju 87D-5 Wnr 142101 Shot down near KAsbach-Ohlenberg, 2,5 km east of Remagen

Fhr Berg/ Ogefr Siradski Ju 87D-5 Wnr 141968 reported missing and still listed as missing

Fhr. Pech/ Fw Chromy Ju 87D-5 Wnr 142000 came down near the bridge, crew was sean to attempt to get out of the plane, but presumably drowned

2./ NSGr. 1:
Fw Zbyrowsky/ uffz Borowski Ju87D-5 Wnr 141969 Shot down by flak crashed near Horhausen/Altenkirchen (20km east of Remagen)

3./ NSGr. 1

Lt Tscherisch/ Fw Scholz 3./NSGr. 1 Junkers Ju 87D-5 “V8+MD”. MErgency landing after heavy machinegun fire the plane had to be emergency landed nea Stieldorf/ Königswinter.. 35% damaged. Crew unharmed

Fhj.-FW Detel/ Uffz Tanck Ju 87D-5 Enr 142104 Shot down by Flak, crashed near Elsdorf

As mentioned by Brian, the most likely of these losses are the Berg/ Siradski crew from the losses mentioned above. Though the Pech/ Chromy crew could also be a possibility.

Thijs
