RAAF units supporting US landings at Los Negros
I know that the 76 Squadron RAAF flew in support of the 1st Cavalry Division landings in the Admiralty islands but I thought they were also supported by Kittyhawks from other squadrons and I believe Spitfires. Can anyone advise me what RAAF fighter and bomber squadrons were in action? Also what aircraft were used? I know Kittyhawks were flown but which mark?
