Re: Embleme der Luftwaffe, Bd. 1: Nah- und Fernaufklärer.

I don't know where to start, if you pardon the pun, this book is a masterly work of research, I cannot recommend it more highly. crisp, clear, large very high quality photo illustrations, excellent emblem drawings. The accompanying unit histories whilst not fully comprehensive are very useful the photo captions give more of the history of the emblem. The whole book drips quality, in terms of both research, reproduction and sheer hard work. To give you an idea of how comprehensive this work is, only two pages are given over to unknown emblems and even the emblems are in colour! For me this book is one of the best ever made concerning an arm of the Luftwaffe, it renders all other works containing on all the Aufklarungsgruppe emblems redundant. My advice buy it before they run out, it will be an instant classic. This volume is more than very good, it's indispensable. Hopefully more will follow of the same quality which should become the best series of generic Luftwaffe books ever published. Axel, Peter, Gerhard and Uwe yours is a masterpiece.
