good info,
have you checked this osprey book:

Osprey Aircraft of the Aces series 85 Ki-43 Aces of World War 2

on page 30-31 speak about combats on march 1943

summarizing it said on 31 march 1943 there was a combat after they attack an allied airfield at Pataga. Fighters then climbed to 19000ft and move to the south when 135sqn Hurricanes scrambled to intercept them. In the combat using the height and speed bounced the RAF fighters. 50th Sentai lead by CO Tadashi Ishikawa claimed 8 and 6 probables and 135 Sqn of Hurricanes lost 3 with a fourth badly damage...Masao Miyamaru claimed 3 and Yukio Shimokawa 2....
