Luftwaffe airfield at Molaoi,Greece
Dear friends,
This is my first thread in our forum.I have started a research about the Luftwaffe airfield at Molaoi Greece.I was born near this village and i want to write a book about this airfield which i have heard so much when i was a little kid.
The airfield saw action mainly at the Battle of Crete (May 1941).The units which were stationed in the airfield were,as far as i know, II/JG77, III/JG77, I(J)/LG2, II(S)/LG2, III/JG52, I/StG.2 ,III/StG.2,1.StG77.Since i have started my research i have succeed to find many informations especially in the first volume of the excellent book o Johen Prien about the JG77 (with the first photos i ever saw of the airfield).I also have the 'Air war for Yugoslavia Greece and Crete', the "Stuka squadron" of P.Smith , and some books of the Osprey Publications.
I am asking your help about any books,photos,sites concerning the airfield.
