New article - Luftwaffe over Normandy on D-Day

With the 75th anniversary of D-Day approaching in less than a month's time, a wide variety of publications are being released. I am happy to have contributed an article to this body of material. Specifically, Larry de Zeng passed on a request from the Spanish military history magazine Desperta Ferro for an article on the Luftwaffe's preparations for the Allied landings and activities on D-Day. The article is 2,500 words long, so this is a short review for the general reader, but I was able to include some material on the Luftwaffe's flak force and other issues which is not mentioned often in the general literature.

See link to magazine issue description below:

Desperta Ferro Contemporánea n.º 33 Abril 2019
Normandía (I). El asalto aerotransportado

The footnotes for my article, and all the other articles in this issue of Desperta Ferro, can be seen on their website:

Regards,

Dan
