Thank you Rudi for these fine photos. I have been studying this aircraft (AM52) for years, but must admit I have dropped the ball lately and been away for some time.
The A/C was shipped in 1947 from RCAF Rockcliffe in Ontario to RCAF Downsview. In 1948 it was displayed once at RCAF Air Force Day at the Staff College in Toronto then again at the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto in August 1948. Information regarding transit from UK to Canada and RCAF stations was obtained by researcher Lee Walsh from documents at the National Archives in Canada. Along with the A/C 7 Jumo 004 engines were shipped from UK for testing purposes at the National Research Council. None of the A/C were to be considered to be made airworthy and only for study and demonstration purposes. It's ultimate fate and Wk Nr still to be positively determined.
