Re: Oblt Kurt Dahlmann III/KG 30

Just as a sidebar on this , having checked the local papers reports for my Ransome Marles raid in 41 I did come across this raid " On Jan 30th ( not 27th ) 1941 two people were killed in an attack by a single plane, which dropped 14 bombs along the River Trent and Muskham Rd. " That area is next to the Nottingham - Skegness railway line and had the W.N Nicholson's Ironworks ( established 1825 ) between that and the Trent cut. A little further up on the other side of the Trent near the East Coast main line is Farrar boiler works ( established 1887 ) But no one local I know even alive during WW2 has ever heard of "Moulders and Pieters" ironworks in Newark Notts. From what I can find Nicholson's carried on producing agricultural equipment but Farrars produced boilers for the navy.
