according to J. Rajlich chronicles on Czechs in RAF (part 7 - ISBN 80-86808-12-2) Wellington R1451 KX-P was hit at 02.28 in vicinity of Alkmaar, Netherlands and landed at East Wretham at 3.30. There is a description of incident in the book,. Pilot clearly states that he was flying on maximal power to get grievously wounded gunner home alive, landing around 45 minutes ahead of others.
F/Sgt Bernat crew battle took place at 3.30 around Netherlands coast.
