The only information that I could find about Walter Ibold who won the DKiG as a Luftwaffe fighter pilot was "Kracker Archives". He flew Bf-110s, Me-410s,and Bf-109Gs.

He flew with 14./JG 300 from the establishment of IV. Gruppe in September 44 to 30 April 45 (his last sortie) surrendering on May 8. His various accounts can be found throughout Vol II of the Lorant/Goyat JG 300 history along with a photo on page 237. He led IV. Gruppe in combat on the 14 January sortie during which he claimed a 357th FG P-51, before he and his wingman Deutscher were both shot down themselves;
" I had flown some 60-70 combat sorties on twin and single-engine fighters. As far as victories were concerned, in the heat of combat, rare were the opportunities to observe what happened to those aircraft on which I managed to open fire.."
