Re: Fi-156 WNr 4457
Fi 156 with W.Nr. 4457 was definately a C-2 aircraft. It was first tested at Fieseler Kassel on 7. August 1940, months before introduction of the C-3 version.
It also suffered 20% damage on 4. July 1941 while in service with 8.(H)/Aufkl.Gruppe 32 at Dugino airfield. In this and the fatal accident on 15. February 1945, the plane was reported as a C-2 version.
